What is a CSA?

C.S.A. stands for Community Supported Agriculture

CSA programs provide farmers with outlets for their crops, strengthen local economies by keeping food dollars in the local community, and provide a fun way for producers and buyers to connect.

CSA members “share” in the bounty and the challenges of local farming by committing upfront to a seasonal purchase of fruits and vegetables. Farm Runners works closely with multiple small farms to plan a season of harvests. With a guarantee that they will have a market for their products, our farmer are able to invest in their land and their crops from the start of each season.

By committing to a “farmers choice” style box, CSA members get to experience new flavors and experiment in the kitchen. In turn, farmers are able to find a home for whatever is particularly abundant each week.

18 WEEKS of fresh, organically grown fruits and veggies from Western Slope farmers

SUBSCRIPTION BOXES: All CSA Members must select a base share (more info below about available base shares).

Subscription boxes contain a mix of FRUIT and VEGGIES – always organically grown and locally sourced. Each box comes with a newsletter chock-full of recipes, storage tips and farm stories.

ADD-ONS: Each week, members can customize their order with other local products through exclusive access to our Online Market.

Boxes are DELIVERED WEEKLY to a pickup location near you.

Available Base Shares

Full Share (Weekly)

Delivered weekly from June to October (18weeks).

Investment: $998 = $55.44/week (save $50 when paid in full by May 1st)

What to expect: Between 8-10 different locally grown fruits and veggies. Always organically grown and vegan.

Membership in this share also gives you access to add on all kinds of a la carte items from our Online Market!

Perfect for: Families and/or couples that cook mostly at home and love to experiment with new and fun food.

Small Share (Weekly)

Delivered weekly from June -October (18 weeks).

Investment: $749 = $41.61/week (save $50 when paid in full by May 1st)

What to expect: About 5 different locally grown fruits and veggies in each box. Always organically grown and vegan.

Membership in this share also gives you access to add on all kinds of a la carte items from our Online Market!

Perfect for: Singles and smaller households; folks that don’t cook at home as often; members that want to create a more customized experience with more a la carte orders and fewer set items.

Flex Share

Have a crazy schedule? Summer vacations getting in the way of picking up your box? We get it – life is busy! That’s why we offer the Flex option. You get a full-sized share, with the same amazing goodies, same newsletter, same privilege to order add on items (like meats, cheeses, eggs, bread, etc.) PLUS the added freedom to choose which weeks work for you.

Investment: $65/week

What to expect: a full-sized share (8-10 items) delivered weekly, unless you choose to put your box on hold. Boxes must be put on hold one week in advance of delivery day.

New This Year! Autumn Extensions

Autumn Extension Option (Weekly)

Delivered weekly from October 14 – November 4.

Autumn is truly harvest season in the North Fork Valley, and this optional extension will give you a chance to experience the best flavors of fall: sweet carrots, crunchy apples, spicy radishes, hearty winter squash, greenhouse greens, and much more!

Investment: $189 = $47.25/week

What to expect: 6-8 different fruits and vegetables per week, always organically grown and vegan.

Thanksgiving Add-On

Whether you’re planning for a local feast, getting a head start on edible holiday gifts, or just want to stock you larder with storage crops, the Thanksgiving Add-on gives all current CSA members the opportunity to place a one-time a la carte order. Delivered the week before Thanksgiving.

Add-Ons

Exclusive access to our ONLINE MARKET is one of the most unique features of our CSA program. Choose from an abundance of locally sourced produce, local beans and grains, pantry items, dairy, eggs, meat, and more. Online market shopping is reserved for CSA members who are already subscribed to a base share.
